Bells

Aldenham church tower contains a fine ring of eight bells often used by visiting bands of ringers.

The bells were cast at various times and range in weight from 3 cwt (152.4 Kgs) to 15 cwt (762Kgs).

The oldest bell is a small Sanctus Bell cast in 1648 weighing 1cwt ( 60.8 Kgs).

The bells are rung on Sundays for the 10.30am and 6.30pm services, and there is a practice night on Monday at 8pm (usually followed by a visit to a local pub). The bells can also be requested for weddings and other occasions.
