The public rarely knows that most churches are entirely self-financing. Like many others, Aldenham Church receives little or no support from the Church of England or the Diocese of St Albans. This is why we entirely rely on the generosity of our parishioners as well as good will in order to raise enough money to support the fabric of the building and all other costs.

There are many ways you can help us through donations, and for more details please contact us.

Regular giving by Standing Order provides a steady source of income, and therefore, some assurance of future support. We also have a monthly envelope scheme whereby you can commit to an amount each week.

Collections in church during services are also made for those attending and there are Gift Aid envelopes on the pews.

We also have a contactless ‘Tap and Pay’ system for those attending church or for visitors at other times.

However you wish to help us, it will be gratefully received, in totally confidentiality and we always collect Gift Aid where we can. Donations can also be directed to specific projects or the church funds in general.
